Base camps exist so hikers can prepare for and rest up from their journeys. The higher the hill or mountain determines how large the base camp must be. This series serves as my take on the need for organized discipleship which prepares and engages the believer as they trek through the highs and lows of following Christ. Disciples need a great base camp where they can find the spiritual supplies and partners necessary for a successful trek.
Please feel free to check out the articles you find on this page. They serve as a conversation launching tool and basis for the base camp concept. I pray you will engage with me through comments, conversations and emails. Please feel free to reach out and challenge my conclusions. Community, true and authentic, will allow us to not only see our needs for a clear and concise plan for growing believers but to also take action which will prevent any believer from being left in the cold to freeze.
I pray this old Irish blessing for you as you start this journey:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
In His Service,
