Paulo Coelho writes a parable that cause the reader to think past themselves into how their personal legend develops.  Each individual carries with them personal greatness but few really achieve it.  Humans often let circumstances and how hard things are drive them from their personal legends.  We give up to easily and do not persevere through it.

Santiago is a shepherd boy who realizes the times and understands that his life is changing.  He is looking for love and greatness.  He finds it in signs, smells, and the love of his life.  He spends years trying to remember his personal legend and not letting it slip beyond his fingers.  He faces adversity and triumphs in the face of certain defeat.

This book is inspirational and definitely for anyone in the search for greatness.  There are definitely spiritual aspects throughout the book.  It is a good read that allows you to dream again.
