Honor – Courage – Valor

For years these words have been lightly tossed around and applied to all sorts of situations.  Yet, they retain a special, almost superhuman, quality when applied to the Medal of Honor.  The Medal of Honor is a special award reserved for the most extraordinary of circumstances.  This medal is the highest honor any person serving in the military can receive.  It is the top of the Pyramid of Valor.

This book tells the stories of six men who have recently laid their lives on the lines for their buddies.  They have found their way into history as inspirational men who stood up to be counted when they were needed.  They valued honor and valor higher than their own well being.   While this book details their stories, it also tells the history of the medal and how it came into being.

This book says thank you to the men and families whose stories are told.  In telling their stories, our lives are enriched and we begin to understand honor, valor, and courage for ourselves.
