Something that I am learning is the difference between food as a luxury and food as fuel. See for so long I just ate whatever I wanted without any concept of how I was fueling my body.
Tacos with flower tortillas, Egg McMuffins, copious amounts of Dr. Pepper. Everything white. No whole grains. Hours of video games. I am responsible for it all.
This last week, I learned of the concept of using food to fuel my body to achieve more. Last week, we cleaned out all the bad stuff. Good bye Cheetos… Good bye Dr. Pepper. Hello new body. Hello best for my body. Hello salads and goodbye ranch dressing on it.
Food was meant to give good calories that fuel our bodies.
Some foods are always going to be out. I will probably never touch french fries again. However, there will come a day when I will go and enjoy a good steak.
Today is not that day……
