Small Group Curriculum Review: So Long, Insecurity – Group Experience – Beth Moore

So Long, Insecurity – Group Experience – Beth Moore

Tyndale – 2011 – ISBN: 978-1-4143-4991-6

If you are a fan of Beth Moore, you understand that almost all of her books start as small group studies or have a small group study component.  She is know for her video guided teaching that is insightful and well researched.  However, this small group study book stands as a unique option for a Beth Moore Study.

The first difference is that this Leader’s guide does not include video lessons.   A normal Beth Moore study has videos and normally requires about 2 to 2 1/2 hours of group time each week.  This study looks to be able to keep it down to about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This is an improvement in my experience as a small group leader.   It keeps the number of weeks on track and keeps the members of the group focused on the topic.

This Leader’s guide contains 10 (ten) weeks of study material.  This is also a change from a typical Beth Moore study which can last as few as 16 weeks but often goes on a little longer.   This change I think will make this a much more useful study guide.   The Leader’s guide has a litany of options on how to run the studies and how to help the members of your group accomplish their growth process during these ten weeks.

This study can be conducted with members of the book having the member’s guide.  However, this Leader’s guide contains enough information to be able to allow each of the members to just have the actual So Long, Insecurity book.  This is a great study guide for any group wanting to study the topic of Insecurity.  Beth Moore is a great bible teacher and does a great job on this topic.
