Here is my SOAP for the day.
Scripture: Psalm 19:14 – 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
Observation: The Psalmist prays. He prays that what he thinks about and what he is constantly focused on might be pleasing to God. This is obviously important to him.
Application: I wonder if what I am thinking about myself is really pleasing to God. Stupid Idiot is not just some word that I wrote above. Often, what I think about myself mirrors those words. When something goes wrong or not my way, I often think it to myself. Not out loud. just quietly to myself. I doubt that makes God happy.
Prayer: God, let the meditations of my heart and things I concentrate on be pleasing to you. Amen.
